P.S. 091 Extended Day After School Program
The academic achievement of our students is one of our top priorities. We understand that the New York State Tests are high stakes tests that all students in grades 3-5 must take each year. This year the program will be running from October 18, 2023 to May 3, 2024.
To prepare students for the New York State Tests, we offer an extended day after school program for students in grades 3-5 to attend. Our teachers will provide the necessary supports and high quality instruction to ensure students are well prepared for the New York State Tests.
The Extended Day After School Program operates beginning in December and ends in late April. Students are given permission slips before attending and are notified of approval.
The Extended Day After School Program runs on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 2:20 - 4:30 P.M. While in the program, students are given snack. The teachers provide students with instruction in ELA and Math. The teachers provide students with test taking skills and released New York State Test questions from previous years. This is to ensure students have a real learning experience and coaching with questions that were used during previous state tests.
This year, the 2023 NYS ELA State Test for grades 3-5 will be on April 11 and April 12. The 2023 NYS Math State Test for grades 3-5 will be on May 7 and May 8.
