Attendance Policy

Consistent attendance and punctuality is crucial for every student to reach academic achievement. Attendance matters and when students attend school on a daily basis, they are learning and engaging in high quality instruction.

NYS Laws requires the school to report any unexplained long-term absences to ACS (the Administration for Child Services)

Please ensure that communication with the school regarding your child's attendance or other matters are used.

The following forms of communication are acceptable:

Consistent communication between school and home contributes to a student's success in school. Parents should feel free to communicate with their child's teacher through Class Dojo or notes in their homework folders, or leave a message in the main office. If there is an issue relating to your child's classroom experience that you wish to discuss, the classroom teacher is the first person to consult. You may email your child's teacher as well.

All staff emails are located on the "staff directory" page of our website.
